All three houses – The Brick House, The Cook Shop, and The Tin House - offer commanding views over the Rakaia riverbed towards Manuka Point and Mount Algidus Station. They are fully furnished with all the modern conveniences and feature open-plan lounges and dining rooms with large open fires, fully equipped kitchens and laundries.
To make the most of the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, all three houses have superb outdoor seating areas and come equipped with BBQs and patio heaters so guests can enjoy the great outdoors at all times of the year.
All beds come equipped with electric blankets and feather-down quilts and pillows so even on the coldest nights our guests are snug and warm.
Tastefully decorated throughout, the homes feature art from renowned local artists like Austen and Paul Deans, Ben Woollcombe, Bill Irwin, Sue Currie, Anne Wilson and Philip Beadle so that even when cloud shrouds the mountains outside, our guests can still enjoy the distinctive Canterbury landscapes that have inspired so many artists over the years.
